# How to know if you've already engaged on a thread?

CrowdReply automatically alerts you if you’ve already added comments in a thread. This helps prevent spamming the same thread and reduces the risk of removals.

#### **How It Works:**

* When you paste a Reddit **Thread URL** while creating a new task, the system checks if you already have comments in that thread.
* If yes, you’ll see a **Heads Up!** warning like this:
*“You already have X comments in this thread, Would you like to continue?”*

***Note: ****The system only checks when you've added the link.*

#### **What to Do:**
* You can still continue and add another comment if needed.
* But for best results, avoid stacking too many comments in the same thread to reduce the risk of spam filters.
