How to post a thread task?

Use a thread task when you want CrowdReply to create a new Reddit post for your brand. Before submitting, review the interactive preview and choose whether to post immediately or schedule the task.

How to post a thread task:

  • Go to the CrowdReply Dashboard.
  • Click Add Task in the sidebar.

  • Under Submit New Task, click Post thread.

  • Add the Subreddit Link where you want the thread posted.
  • Add a clear Post Title.
  • Add your Post Content.
  • Add a Flair or tag if needed.
  • Check the Interactive Preview to make sure everything looks right.
  • Choose whether to post immediately or schedule the task for later.

  • Click Submit task.

What happens next:

After you submit the task, CrowdReply adds it to your task queue. If you scheduled it, the task waits until the scheduled time. If you did not schedule it, it is sent for assignment.

Good to know:

  • You must select an active brand. You cannot create a thread task for an archived brand.
  • The subreddit URL must be valid.
  • Tags can't be changed or assigned once the task has been submitted.
  • The subreddit must allow direct posting. Some subreddits are restricted, inactive, or require moderator approval.
  • Some subreddits only allow link posts. If so, you must add a link URL.
  • Some subreddits only allow text posts. If so, image uploads are not allowed.
  • You can add text, an image, or a link, but you cannot use both an image and a link in the same task.
  • CrowdReply blocks duplicate thread tasks with the same title in the same subreddit.
  • Scheduled tasks must be set for a future date and time.

Content rules:

  • Use plain text or markdown.
  • Do not add HTML.
  • Do not add tracking parameters to markdown links.
  • Avoid em dashes in the task content.
